Why Salvina's Treasures
I have always liked unusual jewelry. Long before I even started designing and making jewelry, I was the one in my circle of friends who always wore the most striking and unique, never seen before jewelry.
In fact, at one of my first jobs, I kinda became "known" for it. Co-workers used to pass by my desk sometimes just to see what necklace I was wearing that day. And then they would invariably ask me where I had gotten it from.
Fast forward to today and I'm still the same. Only now I'm making the jewelry. And also wearing it of course.
For me, jewelry is not just something that you put on quickly to "complete" your outfit. It's so much more than that. It's a means to express yourself. It's a means to show the world who you really are without saying a thing.
For me, the jewelry comes first. Always have. Always will.
Unlike most people, I don't usually grab something from my closet and then go look for a piece of jewelry that goes with it. No. I first decide what necklace, bracelet or earrings I'd like to wear that day and then, I go look for something to wear with that piece of jewelry.
